KINDERGARTEN TEACHER - POSITION OVERVIEW

Kradle To Kindergarten Preschool II, Inc., seeks an inspiring and nurturing kindergarten teacher who develops students’ inquiring minds and compassionate hearts. The position requires maintaining a full teaching load, weekly recess and lunch duties and professional meetings.

 

Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject area, three or more years of teaching experience; special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies one to provide instruction in subject taught (may be demonstrated by any documentation indicating that teacher has skills to be teaching that subject such as past work experience, certifications, programs completed, professional development, curriculum training, etc…)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Ability to develop and deliver curriculum, reflect on student learning and iterate lessons

  • Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Demonstrated professional behavior, including discretion, judgment and integrity

  • Invests in the life of the school by participating in collaborative planning sessions, weekly staff meetings and any multidisciplinary team meetings

  • Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all constituents. Effectively interacts with a diverse population of students and faculty.

  • Provide disabled students with assistive devices, supportive technology, and assistance accessing facilities such as restrooms.

  • Committed to professional learning and growth, select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

We seek a dynamic teacher who inspires students and who works collaboratively and creatively with colleagues in various curricular areas and divisions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • All prospective employees must be able to clear a background check, LiveScan fingerprinting and TB screening.

  • Invests in the life of the school by participating in the advisory program, social and emotional learning, weekly department meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings, anti-bias training, and all other aspects that support the student experience.

  • Candidates should be passionate about teaching and have a love for the arts and sciences.
